| Regional Summit - June 14-16th, 2010 - Des Moines, Iowa |
FPPC hosted its second regional summit on June 14-16th, 2010 in Des Moines, Iowa. Building on the success of our regional summit in the Chesapeake Bay watershed, this conference focused on issues of the mid-west.
The theme was challenges of reducing nutrient load from the agricultural community in the Mississippi River watershed as well as creating sustainability in agriculture. FPPC updated participants on results of their technology projects and invited all stakeholders to discuss the implications of a tightened regulatory environment.
This technology exchange program was designed with ample opportunity to interact with principal investigators of farm scale projects and provided a key networking opportunity with recognized experts from government, industry and universities.
