Nutrient Reduction Process:

Includes enhanced aeration and fermentation processes.

Hopper - screw press loader.
In-vessel composting unit with a three day turn-around cycle.

Nutrient Reduction Process:
Sand separation
Combine dry scrape free stall barns-flushing into a stabilization pond
Waste stream is pumped over a incline screen for initial solid separation
Effluent is processed through the tangential flow separator with a chemical addition (ferric sulfate, lime, and polymer)
Screw press / dewatering of coarse solids
Nitrification / denitrification in second holding basin
Solids are collected and composted; remaining liquid is used for irrigation. |
